Tick Tock Consulting conducted a Hotel Interior Manufacturer search in Vietnam for Classic Distribution Inc. Classic Distribution started production with one manufacturer after the completion of the project.
Classic Distribution is an American company that specialise in interior projects for Hotels, Marriott being one for this project. The company is rapidly growing and due to the pandemic they had to find alternative sources for production, when it became complicated in China and transportation costs were increasing as well. Classic Distribution asked Tick Tock Consulting for assistance to find alternative source of supply in Central Europe, where the Baltics and specifically Lithuania is a reliable manufacturing hub.
The project consisted of three steps:
- Broad Search: Provide Classic Distribution with a long list of Interior Project manufacturers and thereby give them an understanding of the potential availability in the Baltics. It enabled them to make a Go/No Go decision early on and before further steps are taken to contact and qualify the manufacturers.
- Deliverable: Contact list with potential manufacturers with basic general company information.
- Manufacturer Qualification: The manufacturers were contacted and interviewed to find out if they meet Classic Distributions’s requirements and have the capability and willingness to manufacture the projects. It provided Classic Distribution with a deep knowledge of the actual availability of manufacturers meeting the requirements and also understand the market better. It enabled them to make a Go / No Go decision whether to set up meetings and visit some manufacturers.
- Deliverable: Qualified list of potential manufacturers with detailed information suitable meeting Classic Distribution’s requirements.
- Meeting program: 8 manufacturers were visited by Classic Distribution to discuss further details and see if there is a ”fit”. It enabled Classic Distribution to decide if they wish to engage in real contract negotiations and start working with the manufacturer in the near future.
- Deliverable: Four days meeting program in Lithuania. Project report, with detailed information from the meetings. Tick Tock Consulting also assisted in the initial stage of the contract negotiations and were involved when needed.
- Classic Distribution started production with one manufacturers after the completion of the project.
